FAULT

SET TURNS ON; BUT SHUTS DOWN WITHIN 4 SECONDS, AND STANDBY LIGHT BLINKS 10 TIMES.

10 Blinks of Standby light to Panasonic Plasma indicates the power supply section circuit should be looked into.

This set is fitted with a power supply board [ETX2MM704MG]  It
is a common fault to these model power supplies, that, there will be
missing voltages from it.  Even though a new baord can poise this
problem.  Even though it will work perfectly, it will begin to show this
problem again within a short period of time, say weeks or months.  If
you are handy in electronc equipments' repair, it will be best to
replace this board with [ETX2MM705NG] model poser board.  It is a
different board, but connectors are exactly same to each other, and
[706NG] is more powerful too. The board has same voltages, same
connector confujuration and signal paths.  There is no need to adjust
anything, and the board is cheaper than [704MG].

704MG main power board and small stand by power supply removed
and  706NG should be installed.  You must have sound knowledge in
electronics, and must have enough experience in work with power supply
boards.  Must have patience and concentration.

The former said power supply board is bigger in size.  So there is a
need to modify coupling holders to to fix the board in place.  See the
pictures of both boards.

It can be seated well by making holes, and fix one extra holder
to aluminium casing of plasma panel. It fits perfect; and all the
connectors are the same.  Some wires need to increase in length, as they
might be short enough to reach the connecting sockets.

An other fault that can occur to these models Plasma TVs are:

TV will work well on HDMI input, while no other inputs or front
panel buttons will work. This fault is due to missing software on its
internal flash memory.  Bad tuner board can cause this problem.
